Physician Assistant Compensation
The pay for this position is $70.38 per hour .
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
Physician Assistant Highlights
This position is a contract-to-hire assignment based on attendance, performance, and business needs.
The required availability for this position includes MinuteClinic hours with every other weekend and possible holiday rotations .
This is a patient-facing onsite role in San Antonio, TX .
Physician Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide primary and family evidence-based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition planning
- Deliver preventive services including screenings, behavioral health support, and chronic condition management
- Perform routine examinations and coordinate care with healthcare professionals
- Support clinic operations including opening/closing duties, inventory management, insurance verification, and patient follow-up
- Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and treatment plans
- Collaborate daily with a clinical care team to improve patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with care standards
Physician Assistant Requirements
- Completion of a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (or related health master’s with PA bachelor’s)
- Current National Board Certification
- Active Texas Physician Assistant license
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required upon offer acceptance
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work onsite in San Antonio, TX
- Ability to work every other weekend and possible holiday rotations
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills
- Comfortable working autonomously in a collaborative clinical environment
Physician Assistant Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent primary care or family medicine experience
- Spanish-speaking ability strongly preferred
- Familiarity with chronic disease quality-measure management
- Experience working with EMR systems
