JOB OVERVIEW:

Spine Care Partners is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our spine team in a clinic-focused role supporting Dr. Stevenson and Dr. Trimble.This position is ideal for a PA with experience in spine, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, or musculoskeletal care who enjoys patient interaction, clinical decision-making, and managing care plans in an outpatient setting. The PA will play a key role in evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and managing follow-up care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical exams

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the physicians

  • Review and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT)

  • Manage follow-up visits, including post-operative and conservative care patients

  • Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectations

  • Order and review labs, imaging, and referrals as appropriate

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Assist with in-office procedures as needed (injections, wound care, etc.)

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR

QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE:

  • Active Florida Physician Assistant license or eligibility

  • NCCPA certification

  • Minimum 1–2+ years of experience as a PA in spine, neurosurgery, orthopedic, or related specialty

  • Strong experience with musculoskeletal or neurologic patient care

  • BLS and/or ACLS required in specific areas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct experience in spine surgery or neurosurgery clinic setting

  • Familiarity with spine conditions, imaging interpretation, and conservative management pathways

  • Experience managing high patient volumes in a clinic environment

EDUCATION:

Physician Assistant:
Must be a graduate of CAAHEP (Council on the Accreditations of Allied Health Education Programs) approved university program. NCCPA certification required. Must be licensed/certified or eligible to practice as PA in the State of Florida.
