Physician Assistant - Cardiology
Step into a pivotal role supporting the health and well-being of patients with cardiovascular conditions as a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiology. You will work closely with a dedicated team of cardiologists, providing inpatient rounding, consultations, and assisting in critical diagnostic and treatment processes. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes while enhancing your professional growth in a specialized field.
Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license and certification
- Prior experience in cardiology, preferably in an inpatient setting
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR system
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with acute coronary syndrome or heart failure management
- Previous locum tenens experience supporting cardiology teams
- Familiarity with other EHR systems
- Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in cardiology, with some prior locum or inpatient support
Other Requirements:
- Availability for schedule work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional weekend coverage
- Must have current licensure, certification, and relevant licensure in the practice state
- Willingness to travel for assignments when necessary
- Ability to adapt to different hospital protocols and electronic health record systems
