Job Description
Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures that contribute to the safety of all AEP employees and contractors and the protection of AEP assets. The Physical Security Manager of Systems and Compliance will oversee a team that is focused on security systems programming testing, and maintenance and work directly with contracted installers and project managers. The manager is responsible for the overall asset management program, NERC CIP compliance, and FERC Dam Security program. The Security Manager is the primary liaison with our vendors that install and maintain security-related technology, and companies that manufacture such technology. It is preferred that the Security Manager has experience with NERC CIP compliance, Lenel Onguard, CCTV, and other related security technology with prior experience in programming and maintain security systems.
What You'll Do:
+ Coordinate with the technology integrator companies to ensure that responsibilities are appropriately executed and contractual obligations are met.
+ Serve as the primary liaison with all security related vendors and service providers as it relates to installation and service of security systems.
+ Manage security related systems and asset management program.
+ Direct the activities of a team of system programmers, engineers, and subject matter experts as it relates to Physical security system to included access control, cameras, intrusion detection, alarm systems and other related technology.
+ Responsible for all NERC CIP compliance and FERC Hydro Dam and ensure we are meeting all regulatory requirements.
+ Direct the activities of the subject matter to ensure that all compliance obligations for NERC CIP, MTSA, CFATS and the FERC Dams programs are met.
+ Assist the Director of Physical Security in other matters as it relates to the safety and security of our people and assets.
+ Travel including overnight stays up to 20% of the time.
+ Available, 24x7 due to the business we are in and be available to respond as needed.
+ Prioritize and direct area work activities and optimize utilization of resources.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's degree or Associate degree combined with a minimum of 2 years of applicable business/technical experience in Security (Cyber and/or Physical), Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field OR a HS diploma/GED combined with a minimum of 4 years of applicable business/technical experience preferably in Security (Cyber and/or Physical), Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: 10 or more years of Security (Physical and/or Cyber), business administration, computer science, or other technical experience, demonstrating steady progression in responsibilities including 4 or more years of direct supervision experience preferred (in addition to any experience identified above)
