  • Shift / Hours: 0600–1830 EST (flexible; may include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime)

Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative (Phlebotomist) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients as part of routine healthcare visits or critical health decisions. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment.
The PSR builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing venipuncture in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner while maintaining strict confidentiality and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures
  • Draw blood specimens accurately, including pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture
  • Ensure specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence with correct identification
  • Maintain accurate records and required documentation
  • Create a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients
  • Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of an area supervisor
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and organizational commitment
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
  • Float between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other assigned locations as business needs dictate

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience
  • Excellent venipuncture skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and sound judgment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working across multiple clinical locations
  • Prior traveler or mobile phlebotomy experience
  • Familiarity with patient service center workflows

Additional Requirements
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
  • Willingness to work multiple locations with minimal notice
  • Must be punctual, available for all scheduled shifts, and remain for the entire shift
  • Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
  • Flu shot required
