Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients visiting as part of their health routine or for important health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
This role requires strong phlebotomy expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and process excellence. The PSR II creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while interacting directly with patients in a safe and skillful manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under direction of the area supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm labeling accuracy
  • Maintain required records and documentation
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
  • Support assignments in doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed

Required Experience:
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong decision-making skills based on established procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)

Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environment
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
