Job Description
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients seeking routine care or important health insights. This role is responsible for performing quality phlebotomy services and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
The PSR I has direct patient contact and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. Under the direction of the area supervisor, the PSR I performs daily activities accurately and on time while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
Responsibilities include performing clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing, maintaining required records and documentation, and demonstrating organizational commitment while promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA)

Required Skills & Attributes
Required Skills:
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Ability to deliver accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Keyboarding and data entry proficiency
Preferred Skills:
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
• One (1+) year of phlebotomy experience
Additional Skills:
• Professional communication and patient-focused service skills
• Flexibility to support staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

Experience Requirements
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
• One (1+) year preferred

Work Schedule
12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
• Every other Saturday required
• Eastern Time Zone
