Schedule / Shift:
Flexible shifts between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Rotational Saturdays as required
Availability required for weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and coverage across multiple locations.
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) serves as a senior, patient-facing representative, delivering high-quality phlebotomy and specimen processing services across multiple locations as business needs dictate. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong customer focus, and the ability to adapt quickly in high-volume environments.
The PSR III consistently demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and strict adherence to confidentiality and accuracy standards while building trust and confidence with patients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing activities accurately and on time
  • Collect clinical and forensic specimens in accordance with established procedures
  • Verify patient identity, demographics, and specimen labeling post-venipuncture
  • Maintain required records and documentation
  • Ensure a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment
  • Travel between Patient Service Centers and physician offices with minimal notice
  • Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, and the public
  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and guiding principles
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Strong independent work capability with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Flexibility to work multiple locations, extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Proficiency with keyboarding and data entry
Preferred:
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service setting
  • Phlebotomy certification (required only in CA, NV, and WA)
Training:
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
