- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Every other Saturday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Job Description:
The client is seeking a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) to serve as the front-line representative for patients seeking routine and diagnostic care. This role is critical in delivering a positive patient experience while ensuring accurate, safe, and compliant specimen collection.
The PSR II performs both clinical and forensic phlebotomy, prepares specimens for laboratory testing, and maintains strict confidentiality and documentation standards. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to adapt to changing locations and schedules based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages (pediatric, geriatric, and adult)
- Prepare and process specimens according to established procedures
- Verify patient demographics and specimen labeling post-venipuncture
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Provide clear explanations to patients to ensure comfort and confidence
- Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment
- Perform duties independently with minimal onsite supervision
- Travel to multiple Patient Service Centers or in-office locations as required
- Promote company values, professionalism, and process excellence
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (as applicable)
Preferred Skills:
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA only)
- Patient Service Center experience
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments
- Keyboarding and data entry proficiency
Work Environment & Schedule Flexibility:
- Onsite patient service and clinical settings
- Flexible scheduling required, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Training locations may vary based on availability
