Phlebotomist 
Location: Lake Success, NY
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week. Shift times vary between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Position Summary
The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing high-quality blood collection procedures for pediatric and adult patients while ensuring patient safety, specimen integrity, and compliance with all laboratory and infection control standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Technical Duties
Perform routine and advanced phlebotomy procedures on pediatric and adult patients.
Accurately distinguish specimen types, collection requirements, and order of draw for laboratory testing.
Perform finger stick/capillary collections as required.
Maintain a productivity standard of 4–6 patients per hour while ensuring quality and patient comfort.
Verify patient identity using two approved patient identifiers prior to specimen collection.
Ensure specimens are properly labeled, handled, and transported in accordance with laboratory standards.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience
Phlebotomy certification required
Proven experience with pediatric and adult blood draws
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Ability to work independently and adapt to varying clinical environments
