Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Phlebotomist. You will be responsible for drawing blood from patients and properly labeling all samples with the patient’s information and corresponding lab test orders from the physician.
Job Description
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and other specimen collection procedures according to established protocols.
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
- Prepare and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all specimen collections and related data.
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Provide quality customer service by addressing patient needs and concerns with professionalism and compassion.
- Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Participate in continuing education and competency assessments as required.
Skills Required
- Two (2) years of Phlebotomy experience in a Hospital, Commercial Laboratory, or Blood Bank setting.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma/GED Phlebotomy Program required
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) required
- AHA BLS required
Additional Requirements
- Shift Time: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, rotating weekends
Pay Rate
- $25–$30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
