Position Overview
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the front-facing representative for patients seeking routine care or important diagnostic insights. This role is responsible for performing safe, accurate venipuncture and specimen processing while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, confidentiality, and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
  • Explain procedures clearly and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence for patients
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing accurately and safely
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling
  • Maintain required records and documentation with strict attention to accuracy and confidentiality
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and patient data accuracy
  • Promote a positive organizational image with patients, clients, coworkers, and the public
  • Travel and provide coverage at Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice

Required Experience
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
  • Ability to provide error-free work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in CA, NV, and WA)

Additional Requirements
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (rideshare/bus not considered reliable transportation)
  • Flexibility to work multiple locations and variable schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
