Job Overview
The Phlebotomist (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the front-facing representative of the organization, delivering high-quality blood collection services while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and patient confidence. This role supports diagnostic testing by performing clinical and forensic specimen collection in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform daily phlebotomy activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.
• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing with skill and precision.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Ensure a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment at all times.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors with strong attention to confidentiality and data accuracy.
• Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Keyboarding and data entry proficiency.

Preferred Skills
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Additional Requirements
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required.
• California CPT license required.

Education & Experience
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
• Experience:
– Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
– One (1)+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
