Contract Details:
- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 2 months
- Start: As Soon As Possible
- Pay Rate: $22 – 27.20/hr
- Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Rotational Saturdays: 6:30 AM – 11:30 AM
- State of Credentials/Licenses Required: California Phlebotomy State License
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients visiting as part of their health routine or for important health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients visiting as part of their health routine or for important health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information while delivering a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under direction of the area supervisor
- Maintain a safe and professional environment
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
- Follow established practices and procedures for specimen handling
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience (REQUIRED)
- Excellent pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
- California Phlebotomy State License
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment
- Medical assistant or paramedic training
- Keyboard/data entry experience
