Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients while performing blood collection and specimen preparation. This role emphasizes accuracy, patient care, and adherence to established procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing
- Maintain a safe and professional environment
- Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and confidence
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervision
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience required (1+ years preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric
- Customer service experience preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience required
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Medical assistant or paramedic training
- Phlebotomy certification
