Contract Details

Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: Approximately 13 weeks
Start: As Soon As Possible
Pay Rate: $17–$21 per hour
Schedule / Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients visiting the site as part of routine healthcare or critical health decisions. This role is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring patient comfort while following established procedures.
The PSR I builds an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explains procedures clearly, and performs blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
• Maintain a safe and professional environment
• Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established practices
• Maintain required records and documentation
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public

Required Skills & Qualifications

Required:
• Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as staffing requires
Preferred:
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA)
Additional:
• Strong customer service skills
• Keyboarding and data entry experience

Education & Experience
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
• Minimum of 6 months required
• One (1+) year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
