Pharmacy Technician (Order Support / Fulfillment)
Location: Hudson, MA 01749
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.45/hour
Job Type: Contract with potential for permanent hire
Overview:
We are currently hiring a Pharmacy Technician (Order Support / Fulfillment) to support daily operations within a fast-paced pharmacy environment. Responsibilities:
- Support order fulfillment by assembling shipments, including handling cold-chain materials such as ice loading and unloading
- Pick, pack, and prepare supplies including syringes, gauze, and other medical materials
- Dispatch outgoing orders by scanning items, verifying accuracy, and printing shipping labels
- Answer incoming calls and take messages as needed
- Retrieve, organize, and prepare lab documents for faxing
- Assist with a short-term filing project (approximately 40 hours total)
- Provide general operational support in a busy pharmacy setting
Pharmacy Technician Duties:
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to assist with prescription filling and IV preparation
- Enter prescription and billing information to support reimbursement processes
- Prepackage medications in compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist pharmacists with final verification and packaging processes
- Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of medications
- Support inventory management, including receiving shipments, rotating stock, and tracking lot numbers and expiration dates
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including equipment checks
Qualifications:
- Previous pharmacy technician or healthcare support experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities as needed
