Pharmacy Floor Technician – Overnight

Overnight shift- 7 days on, 7 days off (WED-TUES) Weekdays: 830pm-7am, weekends 630pm-5am


Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. This role is responsible for preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Accurately fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision

Pick, pull, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for final verification

Process returned medications and manage recycling/disposal according to procedures

Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store during low‑volume periods

Manually package materials and products

Apply labels to blister cards and scan for accuracy

Notify the pharmacist of any products that do not scan properly

Maintain a clean, organized workstation and replenish stock supplies

Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA

Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code

Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed

Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to work at a consistent, moderate pace

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy)

Preferred Qualifications
Previous pharmacy technician experience
