Description: Pharmacy Floor Technician – MID Shift
Schedule:
Mid Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Every Other Weekend: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. This role focuses on medication picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification. Key Responsibilities
Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision
Pick medications from shelving and storage areas
Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy
Notify the pharmacist of any products that do not scan properly
Assist with processing returned medications and disposing/recycling per procedure
Prepack frequently ordered medications during low‑volume periods
Manually package materials and products
Maintain workstation cleanliness and restock supplies
Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA
Adhere to departmental safety, attendance, and dress code policies
Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous pharmacy technician experience
