Compensation:

• The pay for this position is $33.35 per hour - biweekly
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications while ensuring patient safety and accuracy
• Verify prescription refill requests by reviewing prescription records and patient identification to determine authorization eligibility
• Type and prepare prescription labels including medication name, dosage, instructions, prescription number, and provider information
• Count, measure, and package medications according to prescription instructions and pharmacy procedures
• Calculate prescription costs and process sales receipts using standard pharmacy pricing procedures
• Maintain proper inventory levels of medications and supplies, including restocking shelves and organizing pharmacy work areas
• Conduct periodic inventory checks and notify supervisors of reordering needs
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing medication shipments from the central warehouse
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Balance daily revenue transactions, reconcile register totals, and prepare daily bank deposits
• Assist supervisors in coordinating the activities and workflow of pharmacy clerks
• Provide support for cashiering operations and ensure appropriate security procedures are followed
• Maintain strong relationships with patients by providing professional, courteous service and responding quickly to patient needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician work experience, OR
• 1 year of experience as a Kaiser Colorado Pharmacy Clerk, OR
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program of at least 5 months including a community practice rotation, OR
• Certification by a nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician Certification Board

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to pass Drug Screen, Health Screen, and Background Check
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced pharmacy environment

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Colorado) OR Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certification (Colorado) required
