Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour.
• Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Onsite position
• This position is a contract with potential for extension or conversion to FTE.

Responsibilities

·        Prescription Preparation: Fill prescriptions and prepare IVs under pharmacist supervision.

·        Data Entry: Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data into the computer system for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement.

·        Dispensing & Packaging: Prepackage medications according to strict safety standards and government regulations; assist in the final staging and packaging of medications for pharmacist review.

·        Inventory Management: Assist management with receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, tracking lot numbers/expiration dates, and participating in physical inventory counts.

·        Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including checking pharmacy equipment for proper calibration and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Licensure: Active registration with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow regulatory guidelines, and proficiency in basic computer data entry.
