Tuesday - Friday 2:00pm-11:00pm
Saturday 12pm-8:30pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at McKesson. In this role, you will support licensed pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient preparation and distribution of medications while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Dispensing
- Prepare and label prescription medications accurately for dispensing
- Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders
- Replenish medications in automated dispensing systems to full capacity, including handling bulk inventory
- Ensure proper labeling and clear usage instructions on all medication containers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dispensing area
Inventory Management
- Perform routine stock checks and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Conduct stock rotation to prevent expiration and ensure medication quality
- Assist with inventory replenishment and organization
Compliance & Regulations
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Support accurate record-keeping and documentation of prescriptions and medication-related information
.Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration (state-specific)
- PTCB certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
