Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead pharmacy operations, compliance programs, and quality initiatives within a growing healthcare organization. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and high standards of patient care while developing pharmacy staff and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Oversee pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and production expectations
- Develop and maintain a team culture focused on quality, accountability, and patient safety
- Support operational reporting and key performance metrics
- Collaborate with leadership to support pharmacy operations and strategic initiatives
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including DEA, FDA, and State Boards of Pharmacy
- Maintain accreditation readiness including URAC and ACHC standards
- Manage PBM, payer, and third-party audits and ensure timely resolution of findings
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring
- Investigate and resolve compliance incidents and quality issues
- Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors
Financial & Operational Support
- Oversee claims processing and reimbursement workflows
- Manage medication procurement and vendor relationships
- Support cost management and operational efficiency initiatives
Clinical & Cross-Functional Support
- Support clinical escalations and medication management workflows
- Assist with development of patient education materials
- Process prescription orders and document activity in CRM systems
- Maintain clinical management protocols
- Provide clinical counseling related to medication therapy and disease states
- Collaborate with operational teams to support patient and client needs
Training & Development
- Lead staff training and competency programs related to compliance and quality
- Mentor team members and support leadership development
- Support process improvements and operational best practices
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum 7 years of pharmacy experience
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accreditation standards such as URAC or ACHC
- Background in specialty pharmacy, clinical operations, or regulatory compliance
- Experience leading pharmacy operations or fulfillment teams
Schedule
- Primarily weekday schedule
- Occasional Saturdays as needed
- Flexibility for extended hours based on operational needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Visual ability to read prescriptions and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
