TempExperts is seeking a Pharmacy Benefit Manager to lead pharmacy benefit strategies for a dynamic healthcare organization located in Tampa, FL. This Direct Hire position provides the opportunity to design and manage innovative benefit programs, optimize clinical outcomes, and drive cost efficiencies across client populations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end pharmacy benefit programs, including plan design, formulary management, and prior authorization protocols.
- Analyze claims and utilization data to identify cost drivers and recommend targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement integrated, data-driven solutions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain thorough, audit-ready documentation.
- Track performance metrics, create dashboards, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate agreements to maximize program value.
Requirements/Education:
- Bachelors degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in pharmacy benefit management, managed care, payer, or specialty pharmacy.
- Strong understanding of formulary strategy, clinical program design, and claims adjudication processes.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
- Excellent vendor management, communication, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with rebate contracting, accumulator/maximum out-of-pocket programs, or specialty pharmacy initiatives.
- Familiarity with PBM platforms, benefit configuration tools, or rules engines.
- Knowledge of URAC/NCQA standards and applicable federal or state pharmacy
