Minimum Requirements:
- Colorado Board of Pharmacy license required. Attach license to submission.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required. Attach certification to submission.
- Minimum 1 year recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Experience with medication order interpretation, compounding, and dispensing in an acute care environment.
- Demonstrated competency with sterile technique and checking technician-prepared products prior to release.
- Experience maintaining controlled substance security and pharmacy security procedures.
- Ability to prioritize STAT, Now, and Waiting orders and to enter a high volume of orders efficiently (e.g., capable of entering a minimum of 40 orders per four-hour shift).
- Preferred: experience with pharmacokinetics dosing services, therapeutic monitoring, and documenting progress notes per protocol.
- Preferred: prior experience supervising pharmacy technicians or providing professional guidance to pharmacy personnel.

- Shift details: Days 0800-1800.
- Schedule: Pharmacy hours include 0800-1800 Monday through Friday and 0900-1500 weekends and holidays; candidate should expect a mixture of these shifts.
- Floating requirements: Candidate will float between Aurora and Denver hospital facilities, approximately a 3 days Aurora / 1 day Denver rotation; schedule may change per business needs.

Additional Role Information
The Pharmacist works in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy to compound and dispense medications, provide clinical consultation, support quality and regulatory initiatives, supervise technical staff, and participate in education and performance improvement activities. Responsibilities include medication order review, sterile compounding oversight, maintenance of drug information, monitoring for drug interactions and allergies, dosage adjustments based on renal function and patient parameters, and maintaining pharmacy and controlled substances security. Documentation and report generation are required.
