About the Role
This position is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with a couple of years of retail pharmacy experience. Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, closed‑door pharmacy environment. You’ll support daily pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and help maintain high standards of accuracy and patient safety. The role offers a structured schedule, a collaborative team culture, and the potential to transition into a full‑time position.
Work Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours/week
Weekdays: 11:30 AM – 8:30 PM (1‑hour lunch)
Every other weekend: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30‑minute lunch)
Overtime, holidays, and on‑call rotation may be required
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily pharmacy workflow, production quotas, and deadlines.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
Maintain adherence to DEA policies and third‑party payer requirements.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure accurate order entry, workflow efficiency, and secure operations.
Verify accuracy of prescriptions, labels, drug packaging, and medication content.
Prepare and/or oversee preparation of sterile IV drug products.
Support controlled substance management, including ordering, receiving, documentation, and perpetual inventory for Schedule II medications.
Provide scheduled evening, weekend, holiday, and on‑call coverage.
Ensure proper segregation and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous pharmaceutical waste per EPA and state regulations.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and internal safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
Clear the workflow dashboard daily.
Team Environment
You’ll join a high‑volume, closed‑door pharmacy staffed with 20–30 pharmacists and technicians each day. The team values professionalism, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
Active, valid, and clean Texas Pharmacist License
IV Certification required
1–2 years of experience in retail or long‑term care pharmacy
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
