Pharmacist

Job Title: Pharmacist

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Duration: 3+ Months (Possible Extension)

Shift/Schedule: Standard hours

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Interpret prescriptions.

· Perform medication therapy management (MTM) functions and compounds.

· Dispense medications within regulatory guidelines.

· Assure proper and economic use of medications.

· Provide medication information and advice to patients, physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers.

· Manage and utilize the approved formulary.

· Basic knowledge of commonly used software such as Microsoft Outlook and Word.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Ability to speak, understand, read and write English Required.

·         Must have a State of Florida Pharmacy License Required.

·         Must have Pharmacist experience.

·         Required 2 Years Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook and Word.

·         Required 2 Years Experience interpreting prescriptions.

·         Required 2 Years Experience performing medication therapy management (MTM) functions, compounds and dispense medications within regulatory guidelines.

·         Required 2 Years Ability to assure the proper and economic use of medications.

·         Required Ability to provide medication information and advise to patients, physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers.

·         Required Experience managing and utilizing the approved formulary.

·         Required Experience using Health Management System (HMS) Highly desired.

·         Experience using pharmacy software (QS1) Highly desired.

Work Environment: Pharmacy workstation.
