Now Hiring – Pharmacist in Charge – PPS of New Jersey LLC 50 Lawrence Road Springfield NJ 07081
Hours: Mon-Friday 8:30-5pm, 9-5:30pm as business needs require
The Pharmacist in Charge will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Participates in all new business development
- Keeps abreast of the latest technology and innovations as they apply to pharmacy practice
- Hiring new personnel
- Promotes effective personnel, departmental and organizational working relationships that reinforce the achievement of organizational goals, objectives and operational effectiveness
- Ensures that all pharmacy operations meet all licensing standards established by local, state and federal agencies
- Participates in the collection and evaluation of continuous quality improvement data in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Coordinates the provision of training of pharmacist and technicians
- Coordinates pharmacy procedures with other departments
- Accurate records of all prescription medication received and dispensed are maintained
- Policies are in place regarding accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions and that such policies are followed
- Security of the prescription area and its contents are maintained at all times and the reporting of any thefts and/or diversions of controlled substances to the Office of Drug Control and the Drug Enforcement Administration
- No misbranded, deteriorated, adulterated, improperly stores or outdated drugs or any drugs marked sample or with any like designation or meaning are dispensed or present in the active stock in the pharmacy.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
Professional Experience:
- Must be a State Registered Pharmacist
- 5+ years of Pharmacist experience, 3 of which in a Supervisory capacity
- Long Term Care or Retail experience, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
