Job Title: Pharmacist I (Inpatient)

Location: New York, NY 10011
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Pharmacist I (Inpatient) to join a dynamic healthcare team on a contract basis. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and effective dispensing of medications while providing essential pharmacological guidance to patients and the multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications in a timely manner in accordance with prescriptions and established policies
• Review and resolve inquiries related to formulary and non-formulary medications
• Provide evidence-based dosing and therapeutic recommendations based on patient-specific factors (e.g., age, pharmacokinetics, comorbidities)
• Monitor patient drug therapies to ensure safety, efficacy, and compliance
• Educate patients on:
  • Proper medication usage and dosage
  • Timing and adherence
  • Potential side effects
  • Drug interactions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice
• 0–2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist (inpatient experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical practices
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
