Location: New York, NY (10011)
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Pharmacist I (Inpatient) to join a dynamic healthcare team on a contract basis. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and effective dispensing of medications while providing essential pharmacological support to patients and the multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions, safety standards, and organizational policies
• Review and address inquiries related to formulary and non-formulary medications
• Provide evidence-based dosing and therapeutic recommendations based on patient-specific factors (e.g., age, pharmacokinetics, comorbidities)
• Monitor patient drug therapies to ensure safety, effectiveness, and compliance
• Educate patients on:
  • Proper medication usage and dosage
  • Adherence and timing
  • Potential side effects
  • Drug interactions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with all departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice
• 0–2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist (inpatient experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical best practices
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
