JOB OVERVIEW:

This position will be responsible for driving pharmaceutical sales of their assigned territory by providing product knowledge and sales expertise to our customers. The Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist will collaborate with Henry Schein Field Sales Consultants, Strategic Group Executives, Business Development Executives, Strategic Account Managers, and Independent Sales Consultant daily to drive pharmaceutical sales. This role requires a strong understanding of Henry Schein's product portfolio, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building and nurturing client relationships. The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying customer needs, delivering persuasive presentations, and achieving sales targets. This position will be customer-facing and will require travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieve annual sales goals established by VP US Medical.

Drive sales growth by effectively promoting pharmaceutical products to existing and potential customers.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed territory sales goals.

Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with potential customers.

Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key decision-makers, healthcare providers, and staff within assigned territory.

Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with customers to discuss product benefits, usage, and any new product launches or updates.

Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Engage Independent, Midmarket, and Upmarket key customers to understand needs, recommend solutions, and establish relationships and contractual agreements

Stay informed on the latest product information, industry trends, and competitor activity to serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients.

Partner with the marketing and training teams to develop tailored presentations and educational materials for customers and internal partners.

Submit regular reports on sales performance, territory challenges, and competitive activity to leadership.

Analyze data to make informed decisions on sales strategies and adjust tactics as necessary to achieve maximum results.

Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.

Provide sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.

Creates proposals, RFPs, and business reviews with key customers.

Provide pharmaceutical sales training and education to internal sales partners to ensure comfort and overall understanding of the pharmaceutical product category.

Attend customer presentations, trade shows (selective), Henry Schein sales meetings. etc.

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Understanding of pharmaceutical products utilized in the physician-office space

Knowledge of vaccine market, manufacturers, 340b, and product offerings is preferred.

Preferred experience in developing a pharmaceutical standardization plan and deployment strategies

Understanding of GPO contract compliance, tier pricing, and price parity preferred

Experience with Specialty Pharmaceuticals preferred

Knowledge of Generic Pharmaceutical market

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 2 to 4 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically 25%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $55,000 - $85,000which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
