Job Title - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Contracts Manager
Rate: $80.00 - $95.00/hr (depending upon experience)
Job Location: Alameda, California
Contract: 6 months with possibility of extension

We are seeking a Sourcing Contract Manager to join the Pharmaceutical Operations and Supply Chain (PSC) Contracts team. Reporting to the Contracts & Budgets & Outsourcing lead, this role is responsible for drafting, administering, and managing contracts. The Sourcing Contract Manager will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure contracts are executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with financial, operational, and compliance requirements.

This role requires hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management systems, sourcing and procurement platforms, and pharmaceutical supply chain contracting, including contract manufacturing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Draft and manage Statements of Work (SoWs) and Change Orders (COs) for low-risk contracts using a contract lifecycle management (CLM) system.

  • Support contract execution activities, including routing, tracking, and facilitating timely approvals from submission through execution.

  • Advise on and troubleshoot existing agreements under the guidance of senior contract team members.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure contract terms, conditions, and deliverables are clearly defined and met.

  • Assist with budget forecasting, accruals, and financial close activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of direct experience in contract drafting and contract lifecycle management within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Ariba

    • SAP

    • Contract lifecycle management systems

    • Working knowledge of contract manufacturing and outsourced services (e.g., CMOs, clinical or testing laboratories).

    • Experience supporting clinical and/or commercial supply chain contracts.
