Pesticide Applicator

Job Duties

· Safely apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals to lawns in accordance with all labels and treatment plans.

· Inspect lawns for diseases, weed and insect infestations, and nutrient deficiencies.

· Maintain accurate records of every application

· Communicate with clients when needed

· Adhere to all safety guidelines labeled on each chemical such as the proper PPE for applications and safe handling.

· Keep a clean and organized work environment (Clean truck, trailer and equipment)

· Maintain all equipment assigned to you (Maintenance such as greasing equipment and oil changes at proper intervals)

Job Requirements

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· Valid and clean drivers license

· 1-3 years experience in pesticide application or landscape industry

· Commercial pesticide applicators license is not required but preferred

· Knowledge of turfgrass types, diseases, weed and pest identification

· High attention to detail

· Willingness to work outside in all conditions (heat, rain)

· Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day

· Must have a good attitude

· An ability to learn our operating software to keep track of applications and keep proper records.

· Willingness to obtain any licenses or certifications required in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.
