Job Function:
The Permit Expeditors’ role is to secure permits for projects that we are working on. They will coordinate the approval process by reviewing blueprints and documents, ensuring zoning and building code compliance, filing for approvals, and performing other essential functions of the job. The permitting expeditor will also complete city finals on all projects that have a permit.

Duties and Responsibilities Permit Expeditor:
Data Base:
  • Create and maintain a city data base which has the following:
    • City Contacts.
    • Log ins.
    • City requirements.
    • City hours (showing if they are closed on certain days).
    • City submittal process.
Permit Review:
  • Review permit pack 48 hours before city appointment.
  • Review and discuss any changes with Art Department 24 hours before city appointment.
Acquire Permit:
  • Research and analyze jurisdictional development regulations to determine the effects of regulatory limitations on projects and anticipation of approval, denial, or conditional approval of development proposals.
  • Prepare, submit and monitor progress of various permits submitted to MD area jurisdictions.
  • Study, understand and update zoning and permit requirements for MD area jurisdictions.
  • Visit potential project sites.
  • Pickup and delivery of time sensitive engineering and architectural documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Post permit review:
  • Review with Sales Representative any post permit changes.
Finals:
  • Arrive promptly to your scheduled appointments on site.
  • Complete final.
  • Email Promotion Plus Team status on final.
  • Communicate with the Sales Representative and Project Manager any changes needed.
  • Email the team about all post-permit changes.
Quality Control Site Final Walks:
  • Receive weekly completed sites.
  • Review the site and SOW that was completed.
  • Report issues, successes, and rating scales on the site.
Job Safety Walks:
  • Schedule safety walks.
  • Email out internal communication for issues on site with pictures.
  • Report weekly.

Company Behavior Conduct Expectations:
  • Must be physically fit and capable to perform office-type work.
  • This position is part time, hours will drive based off of work load.
  • Standard shift schedule 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Occasional shift changes may be required to meet customer expectations.
  • Available to work up to (10) hours a day.
  • Two (2) ten-minute breaks, and (1) 30-minute lunch.
  • If you know you will be late, must call before 8:30 am, and communicate with your supervisor. Failure to not/call or come in on (3) three separate occasions (within a calendar year), could lead up to suspension and/or termination.
  • How to report an unscheduled absence: Call your supervisor as soon as possible but no later than 9:30 pm of the day before or 7:00 am 8:30 am the day of.
  • The day of your absence, it is your responsibility to call your supervisor by 1:00 pm to report if you can work the next day. If your call is not received by 1:00 pm, you will not be scheduled to work. Failure to call on (3) three occasions (within a calendar year), could lead up to suspension and/or termination.
  • Promotion Plus office dress code: Business casual. No hats, sweatshirts, or streetwear.
