Job Title: PRN Radiation Oncologist – Findlay, OH

Position Overview:
Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist to join our esteemed cancer care team on a PRN basis. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality outpatient radiation oncology services within a well-established, physician-led environment that emphasizes clinical autonomy and teamwork. As a vital part of our Comprehensive Cancer Care program, you will work with advanced radiation technology in a supportive setting designed to foster professional growth and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outpatient radiation oncology services, managing approximately 20-30 patients daily.
  • Provide flexible PRN coverage, typically up to 2 days per week with additional coverage (~6 weeks annually).
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment, including Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators with HyperArc, Siemens CT Simulator (installed 2024), and advanced imaging technology.
  • Collaborate effectively with therapy, physics, and dosimetry support staff to ensure optimal treatment planning and delivery.
  • Maintain a minimal call schedule for office-based support, contributing to a reliable and consistent patient care schedule.
  • Adhere to best practices in radiation safety, documentation, and patient communication, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Qualifications:
  • Board-Certified in Radiation Oncology.
  • Proven experience in outpatient radiation oncology practice preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems, including ARIA & Eclipse for radiation oncology and Cerner for hospital and cancer center documentation.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative patient care.
  • Ability to work independently within a physician-led, autonomy-focused environment.

Practice Environment & Technology:
  • Two HyperArc beam-matched TrueBeam linear accelerators.
  • Siemens CT Simulator (newly installed in 2024).
  • Dosimetry and physics support utilizing Sun Nuclear and Radformation suite systems.
  • Dedicated, single-site practice with comprehensive support staff, fostering an efficient and cohesive work environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive daily rate of $3,200, equivalent to approximately $400/hour.
