Per Diem Pharmacist

The Per Diem Pharmacist appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews.

This is a per diem position locatedin New York, NY (307 W. 38th Street). The pharmacy hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate should have flexible availability to provide coverage during these hours.

About the Role:

• Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal laws and regulations
• Maintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and services
• When filling in for the Pharmacist-in-Charge, manage pharmacy operations and supervise one or more Pharmacy Technicians
• Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Perform in accordance with company policies and standards
• Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals

About You:

• Bachelor’s or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of New York
• 2+ years of full-time retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• 340B experience and/or AAHIVP certification a plus
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and customer-service skills
• Able to efficiently work with, mentor, and supervise one or more Pharmacy Technicians
• Availability to work as needed during the pharmacy's operating hours

Pay range: $60 to $63 per hour, based on credentials and geographic location
