Per Diem Nurse (RN / LPN)

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families, and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a per diem Registered Nurse (RN) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Skilled Nursing and Rehab team in Fairview. In this role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care while supporting seniors in your local community.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care that promotes resident rights, dignity, individuality, and freedom of choice.
• Conduct daily resident visits to observe, assess, and document physical and emotional status.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Keep nursing leadership informed of resident conditions, changes in status, and other relevant clinical information.
• Supervise nursing activities on the assigned unit and support staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Interpret, implement, and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly to resident, family, and staff inquiries within established timeframes.
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and disposal of soiled materials.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing (required).
• Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in home health, medical, surgical, or critical care is preferred. 

Schedule and Compensation

• Employment type: Per Diem / Contingent
• Schedule: Picking up shifts and covering as needed
• Shift: Day or Night Shift, 12 hour shifts
• Weekends: One weekend shift per month
• Pay rate: $27.00 – $34.00 + per hour, based on licensure
• Night shift differential: $1.00 per hour
