Pediatric Dentist (Part-Time Contract) – Albuquerque, NM

Location: New Mexico
Schedule: 27 hours per week
Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Term: 1-year contract with option to extend


Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Dentist to provide part-time clinical services in a community-based outpatient setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality dental care to children and adolescents, including those with special healthcare needs.

This is a non-personal services contract opportunity with a stable weekly schedule and long-term potential.


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care including:

    • Diagnostic services (exams, radiographs, treatment planning)

    • Preventative services (fluoride, sealants, space maintainers)

    • Restorative procedures (routine and complex)

    • Emergency treatment (trauma, pain, infection)

    • Extractions and pulpal therapy (pulpotomies/pulpectomies)

  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide

  • Utilize behavior management techniques appropriate for pediatric patients

  • Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and preventative care

  • Document encounters accurately in the electronic dental record system

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed


Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school

  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dental Residency program

  • Active, unrestricted dental license in any U.S. state or territory

  • Current BLS certification

  • Experience working with pediatric populations

  • Ability to work with culturally diverse communities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Schedule

  • 27 hours per week

  • Monday–Friday daytime schedule

  • No overtime

  • Federal holidays observed


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearance

  • Willingness to complete facility-specific credentialing

  • Professional liability insurance required
