Pay rate: $28/hr (depending on experience)
Location: One Porsche Drive Atlanta GA 30354
Schedule: Required onsite 5 days/week

As a member of the Porsche Experience Center fleet operations team, the PEC Fleet Technician will perform daily inspection and evaluation of the PEC vehicle fleet determining condition and readiness for the Porsche Drivers Experience on-road and off-road track use. Perform maintenance services such as oil changes, minor & major services, repairs as well as tire & wheel changes, brakes and additional services as necessary consistent with Porsche standards. Ability to comprehend detailed technical instructions, workshop manual, technical bulletins and repair orders. Assist Parts and Service Consultants with the workshop scheduling and parts planning needs of the PEC fleet. Competent use of standard workshop diagnostic tools and the PIWIS Tester II and III. Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions. Perform test drives, correct deficiencies, and perform final inspection of vehicles. Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.
Roles & responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
• Recommend and perform services on but not limited to engines, transmissions, body work, electrical, and suspension components consistent with Porsche standards.
• Perform maintenance services such major & minor services and repairs as well as Tire & wheel changes and additional services as necessary consistent with Porsche standards.
• Perform vehicle and part cleaning services as needed
• Perform safety inspections on program vehicles
• Onboard new vehicles to the PEC Fleet
• Perform retirement services on vehicles within the PEC Fleet
• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.
• Read test reports, maintenance and repair orders; find parts and available materials
• Define and determine errors and disorders with the use of customary diagnostic tools or PIWIS diagnostic tools: Set the list of repairs and create performance charts, diagnostic, and error reports
• Create and support cost estimates for repairs including labor time and parts
• Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
• Monitor and work closely with the Operations Team to achieve the Porsche Experience Center qualitative and quantitative targets (KPIs). Define plans to improve them if necessary
• Perform test drives, correct deficiencies, and perform final inspection of vehicles or the assembly; implement safety procedures
• Support Maintenance program of Heritage Gallery display vehicles.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness requirements of the worshop.
Qualifications
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Automotive technical degree preferred
• Porsche Bronze Master Technician Certification preferred
• PTAP graduate beneficial
Experience:
• 2 years automotive technician
Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
• Fluency in English (oral/written)
• Highly organized, target oriented mindset, works well without close supervision
• Ability to set and meet challenging deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Porsche special tools, service equipment and PIWIS Diagnostic systems
• High possession of Porsche passion
• German language a plus
• Excellent ability mounting and balancing tires
• Excellent ability in vehicle alignment with Hunter alignment machines
• Proficient in computer skills
• Experience with Dealer Management Systems is desired
