Job Title: PEBLO Assistant (Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer Assistant)
Location: 10th Medical Group, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado 80840
Tentative Start Date: December 1, 2025
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8- or 10-hour shifts between 0700–1700, excluding federal holidays
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience:
- Prior administrative experience in a healthcare or military setting preferred.
- Experience in medical case management, disability evaluation systems, or administrative support for healthcare programs is a plus.
- License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) process within the Military Treatment Facility.
- Obtain, assemble, and forward all required documents and records for active duty, reserve, and guard members undergoing medical evaluation.
- Act as a liaison between service members, their commanders, medical staff, case managers, and disability evaluation stakeholders.
- Advise service members and families on the medical board process, rights, and benefits.
- Assist with preparation of impartial medical reviews, rebuttals, and appeals.
- Track cases through the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES), ensuring timelines and documentation requirements are met.
- Coordinate with the Informal and Formal Physical Evaluation Boards (IPEB/FPEB) and the Office of the Disability Counsel (ODC).
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports related to the PEB process.
- Ensure compliance with DoD and DHA policies, safeguarding confidentiality of patient records.
- Provide compassionate and professional customer service to service members and their families during the evaluation process.
