Job Details
The Payroll Supervisor will oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Essential Functions

- Hands-on in processing payroll and related transactions, directly managing all aspects of payroll to ensure timely and accurate semi-monthly processing of salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Respond to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions, wage garnishments and earning verifications.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Complete any planning, project management and communication necessary to stay ahead of employee payroll.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Works in conjunction with the Accounting department as it pertains to payroll auditing.
Required education and experience
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Five to seven years of processing payroll for a multi-state.
