Description
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and tax information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources team to address employee payroll inquiries.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist in audits as required.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.
- Stay informed on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Support additional HR functions as needed.
Profile
A successful Payroll Specialist candidate should have:
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Previous multi-state experience.
- Experience processing bonus and commissions.
- Ability to go on-site 4 days per week.
