Key Responsibilities of Payroll Specialist:

• Payroll Processing: Independently process weekly (~100 employees) and bi-weekly (~200 employees) payroll using Paylocity
• Garnishments: Process and monitor wage garnishments with a high degree of accuracy
• Expense Reports: Process pre-approved employee expense reimbursements, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy
• Employee Support: Respond to payroll-related inquiries, including more complex questions
• Compliance Execution: Process payroll in accordance with established procedures and wage regulations
• Prevailing Wage Tracking: Track and report prevailing wage data as required
• Standard Reporting: Generate standard payroll reports as needed
• Audit Support: Provide payroll data and documentation with minimal direction
• Issue Identification & Escalation: Proactively identify discrepancies or risks and escalate appropriately

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of payroll processing experience
• Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong multi-state payroll knowledge
• Garnishment experience required
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently
