Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Downtown)
Pay: $55,000 - $65,000
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

A well-established manufacturing company in the Grand Rapids area is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. The company supports a stable workforce and values accuracy, reliability, and strong internal support functions. This role is fully on site.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle weekly payroll (hourly, union, and salaried; all Michigan-based).

• Maintain payroll records and make system updates including wage and benefit changes.

• Ensure accurate calculation of overtime, double-time, shift differentials, production bonuses, and attendance incentives.

• Review payroll outputs and verify tax withholdings and 401(k) contributions are processed correctly through UKG.

• Reconcile payroll accounts and research and resolve discrepancies.

• Upload timekeeping records from a separate system via CSV file into UKG for payroll processing.

• Partner with HR and accounting to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

Required

• 2–3+ years of payroll processing experience

• Experience with UKG / Kronos

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage weekly payroll deadlines

Preferred

• Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments

• Exposure to benefits administration
