Payroll Specialist – Key Responsibilities

• Process regular payroll for approximately 100+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
• Review timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide timely resolution
• Support payroll reporting and assist with basic reconciliations
• Partner with HR and accounting to ensure alignment across systems and processes
• Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation and audits

Payroll Specialist – Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of payroll experience
• Experience processing payroll in a small to mid-sized company environment preferred
• Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and compliance requirements
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working in a structured, in-office environment
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
