In this dynamic role, you will not just manage the payroll process—you will be the mastermind behind building, refining, and elevating it. By bringing payroll entirely in-house, you will spearhead initiatives to streamline operations, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and scalable.
Your role will encompass complete responsibility for payroll management across a geographically diverse workforce of 2,000 employees. From handling data inputs and ensuring statutory compliance to optimizing processes and generating insightful reports, you will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to fortify our people strategy.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire payroll lifecycle, ensuring seamless, timely, and precise salary disbursal across numerous states.
- Guarantee the correctness of payroll calculations, including variable compensations and tax obligations.
- Manage payroll processes in a dynamic, high-volume environment with both hourly and salaried team members.
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant local, state, and federal payroll laws, handling tax filings and related reconciliations with precision.
- Lead the transformation towards automated processes, driving efficiency and reliability in payment cycles.
### What You Need to Succeed:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a similar field.
- Proven track record with 5+ years in extensive payroll operations, especially multi-state processing.
- Expertise in handling and understanding complex payroll structures and modern systems.
