A well-established and growing healthcare organization in the Palmdale area is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee payroll operations. Position Overview

The Payroll Manager will oversee the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness for a multi-entity workforce. This role will partner closely with HR, Finance, and leadership to support payroll strategy, compliance, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state healthcare workforce
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and healthcare-specific payroll regulations
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop payroll staff
  • Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Partner with HR regarding employee changes, benefits deductions, and leave administration
  • Maintain and improve payroll systems, controls, and procedures
  • Assist with year-end processing including W-2s and related reporting
  • Support leadership with payroll analytics and reporting

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Healthcare industry payroll experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
