Payroll Manager – Bellevue (On-Site)

Salary Range: $110,000 – $124,800 DOE

Are you a detail-oriented payroll leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment? Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and elevate their payroll function. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Payroll Manager who enjoys owning the full payroll cycle while partnering closely with accounting and finance leadership.

As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing bi-weekly payroll operations, ensuring compliance, supporting audits, and driving payroll accounting accuracy. The ideal Payroll Manager is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving organization.

Position Overview – Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager will lead payroll processing and compliance efforts while maintaining strong internal controls. This role requires both technical payroll expertise and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Ensure full payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Oversee payroll accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting
  • Provide audit support, including documentation preparation and response coordination
  • Maintain and improve payroll processes, controls, and workflows
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert for payroll systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Progressive payroll experience, including experience in a leadership or management capacity
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and multi-state compliance
  • Experience with ADP payroll systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting, data analysis)
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits
  • Solid understanding of payroll accounting and month-end close processes
