Payroll Manager
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Salary: $72,800 – $93,600 annually
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll operations for a growing organization in the Bakersfield area. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and supporting employees and leadership with payroll-related matters. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee full-cycle payroll processing for all employees
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Review and approve payroll reports, deductions, and tax filings
Manage payroll records and ensure confidentiality and accuracy
Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with general ledger entries
Address employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data
Assist with audits and provide payroll documentation as needed
Qualifications:
5+ years of payroll experience, including leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
