Payroll Coordinator
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Coordinator to support weekly in‑house payroll processing for a large employee population, including both union and non‑union employees. This role plays a key part in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and excellent service to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy
- Review time, pay rates, job cost allocations, and union deductions
- Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and pay changes
- Set up and manage deductions such as benefits, garnishments, and court orders
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, hours, and benefits
- Assist with tax reporting, W‑2 processing, and special payroll projects
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of in‑house payroll experience (union payroll preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Friendly, professional, and service‑oriented communication style
- Construction or job‑cost payroll experience is a plus
